Description

Well suited to southern Austrlia's hot, dry summers and cool winters. Sweet temptation has less vigorous growth than most fig trees so easier to keep small which makes it a ideal for small gardens. Fig fruit is borne on new wood so pruning in late autumn will keep the tree small and encourage fruiting. Keep up water during fruit develpment to ensure large fruit.

Fruit: Large tear drop shape

Skin/Flesh: Red to maroon skin with firm pink flesh.

Ripens: Summer through to late autumn. If conditions are right bears two crops per year.

Pollinators: Self-fertile
