Description

Also known as “bain” or “pigface”, this ground-cover succulent is native to coastal regions. Every part of this plant is edible. The fruit of the Karkalla grows to the size of a grape and turns a deep red when ripe. Enjoy fresh or use in jams and jellies. It's leaves can also be eaten – raw or cooked (the roasted leaves may be used as a salt substitute).
