Description

Black Currant bushes are deciduous and can withstand very cold conditions. From December to February heavy clusters of small, round, black berries are produced on branches from the previous seasons' growth. The berries can be made into syrups, cordials and liquers. A very rich source of vitamin C.

Growing Guide Choose a sunny, well drained position protected from hot, drying wind. In Spring new shoots will be produced from the base. Allow the berries to remain on the plant as long as possible and pick individually rather than in bunches.
